At Wheretools, we recognize that your data files contain critical operational, financial, and personal information. Data privacy and file security are fundamental pillars of our service architecture.
1. End-to-End Transport Encryption
All data transmitted between your browser and our servers is encrypted using industry-standard 256-bit Secure Socket Layer (SSL/TLS) protocols.
2. Temporary File Storage & Storage Isolation
Uploaded input files and generated output files are assigned randomized 32-character alphanumeric tokens and stored in secure directories located outside the public web root. Direct public HTTP access to uploaded raw files is strictly blocked.
3. Automated File Destruction Policy
We operate on a zero permanent storage policy for user datasets. Uploaded files and generated output files are automatically purged and permanently deleted from our servers after processing or upon session expiration (maximum retention: 2 hours).
4. Zero Data Selling or Harvesting
We do not read, inspect, sell, share, or monetize the contents of your uploaded datasets. Your data remains strictly your intellectual property.
5. Cookie & Analytics Policy
We use lightweight, essential session cookies required for security tokens (CSRF protection) and basic user interface state management. No persistent tracking cookies are used to build personal profiles.
